Idaho to Oregon and a stop in Portland to see the girls

We stayed the next night just for sleep at a place called “Peach Beach RV Park” in the Maryville area of Washington on the Columbia River.  It was just feet from peach orchards and fruit stands.  It was a nice little camping place and I would like to go there again when we make that trip from ID to OR.  The next stop was the Portland RV park we have stayed at a few times.  There aren’t but 2 places to stay in Portland and unfortunately they were full other than the one night we were able to stay there.  We went there to see the girls on our way to our Newport lot that we plan to stay at for about 6 months at least.  We need to get Talula’s surgery and stay put so she can heal and since we own here, we will just stay.  Not that it matters as we won’t be selling here anytime soon, but our lot has tripled in value in just 2 years.  It is crazy how few lots are available and how much they cost now.  It is good for us to be on the better end of a financial transaction hahahaha.  I just wish we would have bought a couple of them when they were so low in price.

We were able to see Lavin for a couple hours and only saw Alexa for about 15 minutes because she had to work and had a trip planned to LA.  The good thing is that we are here now and can see them more often.  It is 2.5 hours to get to PDX to see the girls, but that is way better than the 1000 miles it was before.  Hopefully we can figure something out soon that will allow us to take our condo back for a place to stay there and get something different for Sierra.  She needs a bit more space too.  Ideally we’d have our own little spot to stay for a few days or a week at a time there.  That way we are able to see the girls, but we aren’t in their space or business J.  Mike spent the evening with Sierra and then I spent the next day with her.  Once we got to Newport, it felt like home, which was a wonderful relief on my part.  I was worried.  There isn’t a better place than the ocean to us and the cool weather, pine trees, hills, and clean air make it just about perfect.  Our first day we just worked, napped, and looked at the mess we have to clean up to get this RV to a place where we have less clutter.  We knew it wouldn’t really happen until we got here and settled.  I just love it here.  The cat even seems to be loving laying in her new comfy bed from Aunt Gail in front of an open window watching people walk by.
