Hermosa, SD and RV in the shop for 4 days!

Next stop was Rapid City/Hermosa to stay with Gail and Mark for a bit.  We had to use our new residence while our RV was in the shop getting fixed.  Ugh.  My worst nightmare having my only home in the shop.  Fortunately it was only 4 days and the time went fast.  We spent time watching Gail’s 70” TV on Bella’s old futon.  She adopted some of our stuff when we moved and it was nice to see it in her beautiful home.  I got to spend a lot of time with Max, the golden retriever, who is getting older.  He and my shepherds got along so well this trip that the muzzle only had to come out at the beginning and I think Bella realized that she needed to behave.  The three of them really loved playing in the countryside and my 2 dogs had freedom to be off leash for 10 days and enjoy the beauty of the place.  Again, we ate too much and while I didn’t want to leave there ever we knew we had to get to Portland  because Sierra was missing us so much.  We also need to get to Oregon because Mike has a week-long work trip to Florida and then I have a work trip to San Diego soon after.  Once those two trips are over we will focus on getting surgery for Talula’s torn ACL.  It is going to be a huge ordeal for a very long time, so it is best if we are settled in Newport when we do that.  Portland is where we will have to go but it just has to be done for her~poor pup.
